Sun Chao graduated from Southwest University of Political Science and Law with a bachelor’s degree in law. He has been a judge for many years, but he is one of the partners and the Party branch secretary of Kunlan Law Office now.

Sun has successfully coped with well-known cases throughout China, including but not limited to (1) a case of infringing trade secrets, which was rated as one of the top ten classic cases and retrial patent application right ownership dispute case by the Supreme People’s Court, was heard twice in the Supreme Court and owned the support in the end; (2) a case of disputes over infringing technical secrets which was revised by Shanghai High Court and was commuted successfully; (3) Hua Qi v. San Lekot in the business discrediting dispute; (4) Weim v. Unification in the infringement of trademark rights and unfair competition dispute, etc.

The main practice areas of Sun are intellectual property, criminal defense, and disputes resolution. Sun has served as the legal adviser of many listed companies, once a member of the intellectual property legal advisory group of Minhang District, the guide of Zi Zhu Yuan workstation and Lian Gu Yuan workstation. Sun is good at drafting, reviewing and negotiating all kinds of contracts, providing legal advice for trademark application, use and protection, and formulating countermeasures and litigation strategies for corporate all kinds of legal disputes and litigation cases.
